Ely Regina Hernández Numa, dancer and choreographer, First Soloist and choreographer of the National Ballet of Cuba, has an outstanding trajectory in classical and contemporary dance.

His artistic career was marked by direct work with internationally renowned figures such as Alicia Alonso, Carlos Acosta, Goyo Montero, Justin Peck, Cathy Marston, Frank Andersen, among other outstanding masters and choreographers. He was part of Acosta Danza since the company was created, actively participating in its early years and consolidating a versatile experience in both classical and contemporary repertoire, as a dancer and choreographer.

As an interpreter, He took leading roles in emblematic works of the universal repertoire, such as Swan Lake,, Dom Quixote, The Nutcracker and Giselle, as well as in contemporary creations by international choreographers such as Uwe Scholz,, Sir Kenneth MacMillan, Annabelle Lopez-Ochoa, Ben Van Cauwenbergh, among other reference names.

In the choreographic scope, His works were presented and recognized on national and international stages. Among his distinctions, the UNEAC Choreography Award stands out. 2017 by Invierno choreography. His choreographic repertoire also includes complete versions of classic ballets such as Don Quixote, Paquita, Esmeralda and The Nutcracker.

From 2022, performs duties as Ballet Master, repeater and choreographer at the Annarella Sánchez International Ballet and Dance Conservatory, where his choreographic creations were distinguished with multiple awards in prestigious international competitions such as the Youth America Grand Prix, Budapest Grand Prix, among others.
